Earlier this month, on the 8th of May, we marked a major milestone — TOOP+TOOP’s 40th birthday — with a special team celebration at the Victoria Park Social Club.

It was a moment to reflect on the people who have shaped our story, from our clients who have trusted us with their homes over the past 40 years, to our incredible team who embody what TOOP+TOOP stands for, whether they’ve been part of the TOOP+TOOP family for two months or more than two decades.

Whether you’ve known TOOP+TOOP since the very beginning or have only recently crossed paths with us, what remains clear is this: while the world of real estate has changed dramatically, our values have stayed exactly the same.

In an industry that moves quickly, consistency is rare. But for us, it’s always been the cornerstone.

There are 618 real estate agencies in South Australia today. Fewer than four have stood the test of time the way TOOP+TOOP has. That’s just 0.8%.

In a profession where trust is earned over years, not claimed overnight, we’re proud to be known for putting relationships ahead of transactions.

Longevity doesn’t happen by chance. It happens through consistent decisions, made over four decades, guided by a simple principle instilled by our founders, Anthony and Sylvia Toop:

At our 40th celebration, many paused at the memorabilia table — a quiet reminder of where it all began. Among the items was one of our earliest publications, All Things Change, where TOOP+TOOP’s mission was laid out in words that still ring true today:
